About Vivid
Establshed in 1983 with the first factory that manufactured lighting chemicals, the business has demonstrated a continuous and consistent growth. With the expansion of business interests increasing organically, the inevitable restructuring took place in 2002 under VIVID.
Why we are different
VIVID as the name suggests has always been thinking out of the box, but practical, implementable and low cost solutions that are based on the chemicals. We have continuously invested in the research of chemicals to improve their functionality.
In this endeavour, we have not restricted ourselves to using the chemicals developed by us, but we have also carefully located other high quality chemical manufacturers and created implementable solutions by including alternate products.
Our imagination
Chemicals are at core of everything. We are composed of chemicals and chemistry is always at work around us. At high pressure or varying temperatures, incredible things happen, because the chemicals may undergo a change in their structure and bonding due to these pressures and temperature changes. We aim to increase the coordination of chemicals so that they get together amicably and the chemistry works for a better life.
Dr. Hari Om - Chief Executive
Dr. Hari Om has over 30 years of experience of manufacturing, quality calibration and market development of lighting industry. He is the Chief Executive of the group and heads the board of all group Companies. Dr. Hari Om is responsible for Lighting and Fertiliser product and market development. Prior to incorporating Vivid, Dr. Hari Om had held various positions in the manufacturing and quality control of Laxman Sylvania Ltd Delhi - a leading lamps manufacturer and brand leader.
During the last 9 years as President of Sun Educational Trust Dr. Hari Om has led a strategic realignment of educational activities and organisation's funding base. Dr. Hari Om is the General Secretary of SRB Educational Society and is leading a non profit initiative to bring education at the primary and middle school level for the economically weaker sections of the society in Delhi. Dr. Hari Om holds a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Chemistry.
Mr. Vinod K Puri - Operations
Mr. Vinod K Puri has overall 30 years of experience of manufacturing, business development and corporate relationship management. Mr. Puri heads the lighting and trading divisions of the group. He is responsible for Lighting manufacturers relationships. Prior to joining Vivid, he was General Manager of Laxman Sylvania Ltd and Surya Roshni Ltd Delhi - leading lamp manufacturers. He also has over 15 years of experience in Chemical Industry manufacturing division and Project Management in Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre. Mr. Puri holds an engineering degree (B.Tech) from IIT Delhi.
Mr. V K Singh - Alliances
Mr. Vinod K Singh has over 25 years of experience in business development, setting up operations, international market development, sourcing and outsourcing. Mr. Singh is non executive member on the VIVID board. He advises Vivid India about Group's international alliances and relationships. Mr. Singh holds a Masters degree and is based in London.
