Single Super Phosphate

SSP is a Straight Phosphatic Fertlizer used at the time of land preparation.

Phosphate is an essential plant nutrient which helps the plant to develop critical phosphatides like nucleic acids, proteins, phospholipids and coenzymes. It helps in cell division and stimulates root development. It is essential for growth of fruits and seeds.

SSP contains 16% water soluble phosphate, 21% Calcium and Sulphur which are accepted by plants and improves the soil texture and fertility.

In order to reduce wastage of Phosphates, please check exact requirement of the crops grown, rather than a blanket approach as in case of fixed NPK ratio formulations.

Fertilization needs of Oilseeds and Pulses (Leguminous Crops) which can directly absorb atmospheric Nitrogen through bacterial nodules in its root, are best catered through Single Super Phosphates, rather than NPK formulations where most of Nitrogen supplied is wasted.
